So, to continue to unlock the Crystal Cruiser the player will now need to get the incredible luck of, after finding both the derelict crystal wreck and Zoltan research station events, finding a rock home worlds sector. Once there, a quest marker will be added to the player’s map. The player will be prompted with this message, “An ancient device is orbiting within the crystal rings of a nearby gas giant. You can’t discern its nature or function, but it seems to have been deactivated for a very 
long time. Perhaps you can get some scrap from it.”
The player then receives these choices:
- Scrap it.
- Leave it alone.
- (Crystal Crew) Reactivate it.
The player needs to go with option three to continue. Once they do, they will be prompted with these messages, “Your Crystalline companion says, ‘It looks like we have found the abandoned link to my home worlds. I can reactivate it.’ He transmits some codes to the device and it immediately powers on.Before you can react, the space around you distorts and a wormhole forms. You begin to sound the alarm, but your companion calms you and indicates that you should fly directly into the wormhole. You reluctantly do as he says.”
After the player flies through the wormhole, they are greeted with this message, “You arrive in a sector not listed in any star charts. Strange crystalline ships dot the horizon. Your companion speaks, ‘Here we are, my home sector. It has been a long time since others have set foot here, I wonder how you will be received.’ … ‘You have done as you promised and so shall I. The coordinates of my old ship have been forwarded to your navigation system.'”
After this, all the player has to do is fly to the new location marked on their map and they will unlock
the Crystal Cruiser layout A. The Crystal Cruiser only has two layouts- A and B. To unlock B, the player just needs to acquire two of three ship specific achievements.
The achievements are:
- Sweet Revenge: Destroy an enemy ship with a shard from the Crystal Vengeance augment.
- No Escape: While using the Crystal Cruiser, trap 4 enemy crew inside a single room using the crystal being power or Lock down Bomb.
- Clash of the Titans: Destroy 15 Rock ships using the Crystal Cruiser.
